Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did a smoke test on my 1999 911. I found 1 location where it was leaking. Currently I have problems with the idle not being stable after the engine is warmed up. If I keep the A/C on it seems to go away. After a warm start, the car idles very poorly at first or stalls altogether. Could a vacuum leak like this possibly contribute to the problem? Does anyone know what the part I will need to fix this? In the pictures, you can see where it is leaking. If it matters, the engine is cold. Thanks! Any idea what part this is? Looks like a brakebooster vacuum connection to intake manifold...

POST 4Original post

Brake booster line. Can use a piece fo rubber hose with a 90 deg bend in it as an alternate. Mine has a vacuum leak at the AOS. be thankful this is an easy one to fix!
