I've been told to replace the regulator, but the window functions fine otherwise without any problem and this issue is only on the passenger side window.

Therefore I think it's either a defective micro-switch (not sold by Porsche) or replacing the entire Door Latch Assembly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The passenger side window does not drop when you close the door placing the window on the outside of top trim. I've been told to replace the regulator, but the window functions fine otherwise without any problem and this issue is only on the passenger side window. Therefore I think it's either a defective micro-switch (not sold by Porsche) or replacing the entire Door Latch Assembly. Any suggestions on this?

Could be the door latch is the problem. Was for me, but had slightly different problems than you. There is also a Porsche door handle micro switch that you can get from Pelican parts, this could be your problem. Might be time to test that switch first. As soon as door handle (inside or outside handle) is pulled even slightly, pulling only maybe half,1/3rd way, not even releasing the door latch or opening the door, the window should drop immediately. jmo

POST 3Original post

I had the same issue. I bought a VW door latch instead of a Porsche latch. The window drop worked again with the VW part but the central locking system no longer functioned. I then bought a used Porsche latch and everything works fine now.
