I have not fully checked the radiator outlet neck for damage as of yet.
Leading evidence: 'Check radiator outlet neck' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check alignment' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Ill find out for sure when I can drive it to check alignment but nothing looks to be bent as far as suspension.

If I was doing this on a muscle car I would drain as much coolant as needed, replace hose, then run with cap off radiator till it burped air then refill again.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all, I hit a curb the other day while avoiding a SUV who decided she needed both lanes at the same time.
I may have gotten very lucky as it appears as though I only lost bottom hose of radiator and a wheel liner and a few scratches on underside of bumper.

However with the pressurized system on 911s Im a bit confused ( I ordered the schwaben refill vacuum )
Do I need to totally drain whole system then replace hose then refill? Ie remove drain plugs from engine. Or can I replace hose while only loosing as much coolant as it takes, then go straight to refill with the device? I have watched every video I can find and they all included a full drain and refill.

Have you pressure tested the coolant system..? After having all that apart and replaced on a 996.2 that I repaired, not sure how just a hose could be the problem.
As the radiators are very fragile and if that hose is damaged good chance the radiator even though it looks fine is also damaged and leaking where the plastic tank is crimped on to the core.
To answer your question about filling system... Once you remove that hose lots of coolant will drain out if it hasn't already leaked out.... You can fill it the way you said, but will need to keep a close eye on coolant level in tank and need to top off after it fully cools overnite on level surface. Take it for very short rides around hood and let it cool then you'll diffidently need to top off, maybe a lot....
Or just use the vac fill and get as much coolant in as possible. Then still do the top offs as above...

What color is the coolant? I would probably use this opportunity to flush and replace. Is yours pink or green?
For now repair hose and fill with distilled water. Run around the block, fill, run, fill. Or use vac fill...Check for leaks. Check level next day. Fill as needed.
If all good then drain and go with new, probably best to do porsche stuff.
Thank you. I cant pressure check it as I have a visible leak. I have not fully checked the radiator outlet neck for damage as of yet. It is either that or hose as its spraying from that area. Was waiting till I got new hose and coolant. First glance says no damage but will only know once I get new hose and can pull old one off. (Seems like Ill need one) Figured I would order the bottom hose now and hope I dont need radiator. If radiator is bad I figured I would replace top and bottom hose anyway while changing it so Id start with what I know I need.
Coolant was swapped less than 2 years ago. So it seems I can use the vacuum to refill coolant as it is.
Should be able to see where its leaking. Water runs downhill.
If you take the bumper off and the air duct to rad off and the inner fender liner out, then if it leaked with no pressure in system fill it with a couple/few gallons of distilled water and see where it comes out. Or fill it and pressure the system if needed...
Can you see the hose ripped/torn..? Those hoses last a long time and are of excellent quality. Unless you've had a oil/coolant intermix no need to change out a hose if its not leaking/damaged.
Yes I can see the leak. It’s at the return hose. The hose has some damage where it scraped. I think the screw clamp dug into it. So my hope is it’s only the hose. However I think like you, there is a good chance that the bottom outlet of radiator has damage as well but wanted to wait till I in ordered coolant and a hose that way if there is not damage to the outlet pipe I can just swap the hose and I’m on the road after a refill. I plan on removing the bumper when I do the repair and if needed I order the radiator then. I’m not chasing the leak its clear where it’s at, it a matter of one hose or a radiator and hoses.
Thank you I missed your post 1st time reading thru.
Great idea I have two gallons of the P pink stuff on the way but that is good way to not waste it if I miss something. I figured the vacuum will not hold if I still have a leak in the system but at the cost of a gallon its better then sorry.
Good plan. If your current coolant is green you'll want to flush before you put the pink in. Glad I did. The additives don't play well together in the long run if you mix. I did a thread on it a while back. Might help a little.
