Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Changed these out as it was time to replace the spark plugs and figured I was more than half way there so why not, especially since they were the originals.

Some people recommend removing the bumper but I didn't have to when I did mine.

Didnt know it was necessary to replace bolts when replacing coils.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Planning some winter projects and its getting around to that time that replacements are due. Visited a few sites and seems AutohausAZ has some good pricing.
Anybody have experience ordering this kit. Surprised to see coils come with new bolts. Didnt know it was necessary to replace bolts when replacing coils. Wondering the reasoning.
Anyway, just looking for some reassurance Im getting the correct parts before placing order.
Will also be replacing the serpentine belt.
Were the replacement bolts any different from the originals. Wondering if any design changes regarding the coils as my understanding is these are OEM replacement coils.
All set, confirmed same parts as in the fcpeuro kit but priced a bit lower. $320 including serpentine belt shipped to my front door.
Any helpful hints regarding installation as I’m all ears.
It's not a hard job at all and IMHO no different than on any other car. The big difference is tight working quarters. Getting to the last plug and coil on each side is a PITA if you don't have a lift and easy access from the bottom. I found it much faster and easier to just pull out the muffler boxes and it was pretty straight forward from there on. Pretty sure FCP did a DIY video that you should watch. They put out a lot of great DIY content and have a shop 996 they did a good amount of work on.
I actually do have a 4 post lift available and a set of quad tips on my workbench for the last year that Ive been wanting to install so this may be the time to get it all done.
Maybe Ill even install the Numeric shifter thats taken up residence for the past 3 years on the workbench next to the quad tips..yeah, Im bad with stuff like this.
Thanks for heads up on the DIY video, Ill be sure to take a look at it before digging in.
In addition to being longer, they also have a Torx head instead of allen head.
Some people recommend removing the bumper but I didn't have to when I did mine. If you're going in that deep, you might want to consider replacing the spark plug tubes also. I found that an arbor for a 1" drum sander worked best for removing the tubes.
Certainly took me long enough to get started but completed 30K service.
New plugs & coils installed, not a bad job at all once I pulled mufflers off which was all of 15 minutes each side.
Purchased and installed OEM water pump, LN low temp thermostat & serpentine belt and completed that installation as well.
Fresh cabin & air filters…….runs fantastic.
Not sure what’s next, may sell my baby and move onto another car experience as it’s been 10 years.
Good question which I dont exactly know. Honestly on my other non P-cars I only change them when they fail.
Changed these out as it was time to replace the spark plugs and figured I was more than half way there so why not, especially since they were the originals.
Same with the water pump, was still running the original which was in perfect condition upon removal & replacement.
