Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi there - I am new to Renntech. I bought a 996 manual C4S black on black with 71k miles on it last September 17. I love this car. The way it looks and the handling...amazing! Ive done a few things to it maintenance wise like changing oil, oil filter,, air filter and cabin filter. I would like though to learn more so that I can do more preventive maintance myself. I live in Miami area so I would love to meet other enthusiasts in the area willing to spend some time sharing our passion and willing to help out others working on their cars. Let me know if there is someone around interested!

Nice to meet you! I live in Broward County, so we are quite close. First thing you can do is join PCA. The Gold Coast Region has a lot of events where you can assist and meet a lot of enthusiast there!

2019 Porsche Parade is near you, just up the coast a little bit. You'll definitely want to join PCA and be a part of that! My region, Longhorn, had just hosted the event 1 year before I joined, so I missed it.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all for your warm welcome! I joined PCA a few weeks back but I have not attended any event yet...But this is definitely in my to do list in the coming weeks. MY2003 - I bought it in Washington and drive it down to Miami and that experience alone was amazing! I am really impressed on how the car handles and the overall driving experience ! It is simply amazing! I ve got also a 964 C4 cabrio which I am in love with but this C4S is something incredible!!

thanks FPB111! I have one of those weird originals plastics but this is definitely a good option. I am planning to take these beauties (C4S and 964 C4) with me to Europe if I cannot sell them so thats why I dont want to make any bigger holes...that being said, great advice and website. Thank you!!

Hi Parris - thank you!! Are you regularly attending PCA events? I receive many emails from PCA which is great but I am unsure about which one to attend ...any recommendations? First time looks like a bit intimidating...

I think the club does a lot of interesting activities, usually well organized and with a nice and friendly ambient. As any club or group of people, you always will find some "egos" trying to intimidate/impression others... but is on you to give a s*** I would recommend you assisting the next "Porsches by the sea" in Downtown Miami (Mandarin Oriental Hotel) in November 17th. This next weekend also, there is an interesting event in West Palm Beach, cars and coffee, with special Halloween. A lot of cars and family friendly for kids.
