Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My thoughts were that it was an aftermarket piece but I have seen a half dozen used bumper covers that have them installed.

There is a piece of protective film near the side marker light to protect the bumper when it gets removed to replace the bulb, and they erroneously listed that protective film as being located there.
Leading evidence: 'Use bumper covers' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace bulb, and they erroneously listed' (1 discussions). These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good afternoon everyone,
After an exhaustive search yielding no results, I figured I would ask the gallery. I am installing a new bumper on my c4s and am looking for the adhesive stickers to go on the bottom. I originally thought they were painted on but the body shop pointed out they were some sort of adhesive textured vinyl and I cant find a P/N anywhere. Does Porsche still make this part? Did they ever make it as an individually sold item? Am I up a creek? I ordered a brand new bumper from Porsche and of course it was not included with that either. Thanks for any help everyone. Cheers.
My thoughts were that it was an aftermarket piece but I have seen a half dozen used bumper covers that have them installed. If it is an aftermarket component I would be curious if anyone knows the make of it. I would like to use them again. If not, i guess PPF is the next most viable option.
Was this used when the lower portion of the bumper was painted body color instead of black? Does anyone of a better picture of this installed on the bumper show where it is?
I combed through BaT and found better pictures of all years of C4S, both Coupe and Cabrio, that have the same textured vinyl stone guards. It is not a commonly photographed location of the car so I had to look through quite a few listings. I am guessing that the purpose was to not allow the silver paint to shine behind the openings of the vents in the lip that is unique to the 4S. Still puzzling why they seem to be NLA. I bet there is someone on here who has replicated them!
OK, that
IS
wild...and I stand corrected. Maybe it's just the black ones that don't have (or need) them?!
Or maybe mine is an anomaly? Could be as mine was originally a tiptronic C4S but I don't have the third radiator.
Again, those stickers were factory in all C4S bumpers. If you don't have it is because at some point maybe the bumper was repainted and they didn't find a replacement, like the OP is struggling to do.
Bingo!!! Something head scratching is going on with the C4S parts diagram. There is a piece of protective film near the side marker light to protect the bumper when it gets removed to replace the bulb, and they erroneously listed that protective film as being located there. On the side. Very far from the bottom. Lol.
Another mystery solved, gang. Thanks.
I have a 996 4s and I’ve also got the same type stickers on my front bumper and I would new ones but I’m having the same problem locating these.
