Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that performed work without a confirmed outcome

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust list appropriately' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust list appropriately' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good info! Especially the fuel contamination stuff. Coincidentally I never let the car sit to warm up, just start it up and pull out of the garage, keeping it under 3k rpms until the oil gets up to temperature. It's a weekend car that I drive a couple times a week in the canyons, spending the majority of the time between 3,000-5500 rpm. Always felt the car seemes to "like" it in that range. LN bearing was installed 15K miles ago. Hopefully I'm doing all I can to prolong it....
Great information Jake! And, hats off to Damon. He faded out the music after the title sequence. Now my ADD won't kick in. Yay! It also sounded like he worked with some noise reduction filters because the sound is much better than the last video.
Interesting about the different diameter bearings - which transfers to different spin speeds and therefore load transfer.
Sounds like Porsche deduced that most where driving slow/ town speed and made the diameter of the later bearing bigger.
they should have ..........deduced.........from jump street that putting a sealed bearing inside an engine ain't too bright .I am surprised they didn't think to put a zerk fitting on the side of the block to lube it as a patch fix......although i bet the idea crossed their minds
I really appreciate all the knowledge you share Jake. If I ever need a rebuild, you are the person I am coming to. In fact, I may think about taking one of your course with my son. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Lowpue,
I adjusted your list appropriately.

DUDE!!! You're gonna get the ban hammer! "We" all know someone who recently got banned just because he used a dreaded GWIT996F reference. Careful Sir...these are dangerous times!
Thanks again Jake! These videos are a great help to us who want to understand better what is happening in our cars and how to best treat them. You're description of "driving it like a Porsche" was nice and clear. I've heard the terminology in the past, but nobody ever seemed to be able to describe it as simply. I try to keep cruising RPMs around 3K and with fairly regular shifts up to 4-5K. Reaffirming that I seem to be on the right track.
I know...I know I was joking back plus "poking the bear" a little! It has become boringly stale since the inquisition and subsequent drop in participation.
LOL....seing this reminds me I should probably update....Like we also have an B250e until may when we will decide whether to keep it or not and my HS/College kids are driving bullet proof e320s (2000 era). In anycase you made me laugh especially on the sale of the Targa funding bumblebee....you don't know how true that is...Bumblebee has been in the shop the past 6 months getting a makeover including 997 3.8 installed with custom exhaust giving me hopefully 420HP....and it is at least partially being funded my sale of the Targa that is now living in France.
Cheers.
