I totally agree with our 966 is the best looking 911 of all time in my opinion only!! Now your too!! Nice Video. That's why I bought it. Thanks For the video, this helps.
Everybody thinks their car is the "best" version until they get the "next" version.
I hope everyone else believes it so resale will go up!

Jeremy,
Porsches generally appreciate in time, but the 996 was produced in great numbers and of course, is cursed with the dreaded IMS thang. That being said, it's still a very radical car that was the bridge from the old air cooled days into the modern day Porsche 911. I predict the rare cars (i.e. GT3, GT2, etc.) will continue to increase in value, but the common high-miles, unloved Carreras will continue depreciate.

It may come around (not that I am counting on it or anything)...look at the '74-77 2.7L narrow body 911's....for years they were the most hated 911 that nobody wanted because of the magnesium case and head studs pulling out, now they sell for big bucks and nobody really cares anymore.
imagine his reaction if he drove a turbo
That license plate is spectacular.

I dont really expect that. Just wishful thinking. I enjoy the car as is, not as an investment. Though i am considering giving it up for a 918 cayman for track days

He did... he mentioned in the video how he did an article years ago about how the 996tt was amazing.
With low options it's light weight and fun
Ive owned a 1970 E, 1971 T, 1979 SC, 1993 C4S and currently a 1973 S Targa and a 1999 996. The 1973 sits in the garage for weeks at a time. It's an art piece. The 996 does semi daily driving duties and as I've said many times since I got it - by a long shot the most fun and driveable of the bunch. A 996 Turbo would be nice, but I don't love all the jewelry that it wears and certainly wouldn't make use of the extra HP. My 99 is the perfect blend.
LOVE my '02 Cab to death! This one ain't going' nowhere!

+1
That was a good video. I loved my 996 C4S. It was my first 911, and one of my favorite cars of all time. I also agree that the rear 3/4 view on the 996 C4S is fantastic.
Some of the broad generalizations in the video were stupid, like the one about 991s only being driven by 70 year old orthodontists, but that didn't take too much away from the overall sentiment of the piece.
I've been making some of those same points about the interior. Then generally somebody says "yeah, but the materials are crappy."
Whatever. Enjoy the cocomats.
