Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm going to do the IMS job, and the instructions show prying out the cam end caps, or plugs. I presume they get replaced. Does anyone have a part number for that? We can't find it on PET. thx,

POST 2Original post

You talking about P/N: 99610421554 Porsche Cyl Head Cup Seal. There is 6 of them and I usually stick a screw into the middle of it to pry the part out, so after the plug has is removed their is a small hole in the part and the sealing integrity is then compromised. I guess you could try and carefully remove them as not to damage the part and then try and reuse them but for $5 per plug its not a bad price for tossing out the old ones.

POST 3Original post

I used a sharp screw driver and small hammer to tap into mine and pull it out. Careful putting the new one back as they seem to not bottom out on anything.

POST 4Original post

Make sure you hit dead center. They have a steel washer around the edge.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, we got em. Thx, I did find them on Pelican which I maybe should have checked first.
