Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone have a ball park cost on how much the plastic bellows is that connects from the engine lid to under the spoiler? Mine has a split in two places on the folds and doesn't look like it can be repaired. After all it's almost 10 years old so I guess it's due to be changed. It doesn't look to hard to replace but I'm wondering how they attached the bottom section - it looks like it was glued?
dont ask me why, but I have an extra one of these if you want a pre-owned on in perfect condition...
I would take ? 1/2 new price ? and ship free...???
just a thought
here is the breakdown of how it goes together
(I will edit this when I get it, slow loading tonight)

The part number you need is 996-512-250-00 (Porsche calls it the rear wall) and it retails for about $110. Contact Sunset Porsche in Oregon because they offer a 15% discount on most parts are usually the lowest price. You could also contact Suncoast Porsche in Florida because they have good prices too.
Additionally, there are some fasteners you will need to get as detailed in this link by Doug, specifically the parts that attach the bellows to the spoiler.

Here is a complete DIY in Renntech. If you can't view this you may have to sign up to be a user or make a small one time donation to Renntech. BTW, that $20 (I think) donation is well worth it.

if my stupid picture was at all legible you could see that
True True !
Again... Very TRUE !
So IF you are interested in my pre-owned unit PM me (no hard core sale pitch, just a plate of cookies... if you say no, it doesnt make me think the cookines are bad)
No its cool.. but if someone can get it NEW for that, then its only fair for my pre-owned to be a fair value.
(even though its the whole assy, its easier for me to sell it that way then just the bellows...
)
Plus install should be much easier....
Not trying to make bank, just be fair....
Deal - I changed my mind then - I'll take the whole thing, ignore the earlier PM on only the bellows. I'll just have to install it s_l_o_w_l_y as the spouse is gearing up to go to Home Depot for paint and I hate painting - so I'll drag out the install.
Deal. I'll join later today - I have to run out and pick up that fan for the spoiler that the guy just got in from the dealer, (was part of the deal when I bought the car).
I'll wait to install the fan and do everything at the same time.
got it, boxed it up already and will have it in the mail first thing in the morning
THANKS!
Ed
PS.... ANY troubles, please let me know... I dont have reason to believe there will be, but I want you to know if there are... I am here to help
Your PM is blocked???????
Thanks Redridge!!
PM blocked? I'll check. I have a sinus cold - does that count?
Thanks again - I'll let you know when it gets here.
*Edit* Just found out I checked one two many boxes - sort of a box too far!
I still maintain it would make a great buffet table next time you host a party for Porsche owners. You could mount the taps from the beer keg with C clamps on one of the ends.
Resurrecting this thread. Anyone know where to get the rubber wall currently at the best price? They all seam to be around 100 dollars now when they were around 75 before. Does anyone have one for sale?
Thanks!
