Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 weeks away from my purchase 2003 cabrio 4
Issues. The passenger window doesn't go DOWN like it should when you close the door w the top up. Is this an "easy" fix? Sensor??
It should go down about 1/2"
The center consol... Ughhhh like so many owners - it looks like poop all scratched and dinged up.... I don't PLAN to be an **** owner per se but it could use a replace or clean up - what are my options???!!
Thank you all soon much I'm so close!!!
Highly recommend painting the center console the same color as the exterior. It was an option but you can do it aftermarket also. The previous owner of mine had it done and it looks good.
PPI will be a couple to a few hundred dollars. A lot of people fly out before the purchase and get it checked. Or find someone living in that city on Rennlist who can take a look at the car and maybe take it to a shop of your choosing. Which city ?
Don't use the sellers shop. Where's it at? Someone will usually have a recommendation near the area. Then ask the PO to take it to "your" shop and they can be your eyes and ears.
They should be able to let you know about the window as well. Most I've paid for a PPI Is $350.
There are three micro switches that work the window magic.
Does the window go down when you pull on the outside handle? If not, then that's the switch you need to replace. - About $30, and not too bad of a DIY.

Figure that a dealer is going to charge twice that for the parts and at least an hour labor.
For the console, you can get color-matched touch up paint to hide the problems until you decide if you're going to get it professionally painted
bumperplugs.com - I believe they're a forum sponsor and they sell center consoles with factory matched paint. That's where I'm planning on going for mine.
RE: center console... Suncoast has a nice aluminum looking console for $2700.
I was stubborn though & snagged this mint condition unit on e-bay for $250. Now I actually like the interior
Still going to replace what grey I can with aluminum, so I'm off to ebay... gl
I'm a little late to the party, but I bought the exact same car 2 weeks ago ('03, Cab 4).
My PPI revealed that my window regulator sounds like its about the go. the mechanic told me that he heard the telltale "clicking" on the passenger side window and estimated this to be a $600 repair.
I have a '13 Audi A6, but have driven my new Porsche almost every day since purchase... You will love it.
