996 cup cars used cable throttle tb's too but you'll just be wasting your dollars as your intake manifold will be the bottleneck, plus good luck in being able to get one.

I haven't I've got the same as you , because it's cable the gt3 throttle body doesn't fit as its fly by wire, did see a guy on eBay that enlarges the inside of your standard throttle body by a couple of MM and installs a larger throttle flap?

MaxBore can bore out your existing tb by 2-3mm which is the sweet spot. If you wanna spend a few hundred more, you can get the FVD version which has basically the same specs as MaxBore. George from MaxBore has been doing my tb's on my various cars since the 90's. Not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer. The only time you're gonna see noticeable gains with a 82mm is if you improve the pumping efficiencies through cams/headwork too. Also a bored out tb only helps if you port match your plenum, otherwise it's practically useless IMO. 996 cup cars used cable throttle tb's too but you'll just be wasting your dollars as your intake manifold will be the bottleneck, plus good luck in being able to get one.
