Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I prefer the look when the spoiler is raised. Can i raise it, remove the fuse and keep it in the up position? Any issues to be aware of? TIA!

POST 2Original post

Give it a shot. You'll probably get the light on the dash but it won't hurt anything.

POST 3Original post

Although i have not done it a piwis unit can code the spoiler for a fixed (gt3) spoiler and eliminate the light. Im 99% sure it will not affect its operation as the harness is still connected.

POST 4Original post

Does the spoiler not stay raised when the rocker switch in the kick panel is used? I dont use it in my 911, but thats the way it works on the 970 Panamera?

i can raise it manually but it drops automatically as speed decreases. The switch as down low by the clutch, so not convenient.

now I just need a PIWIS 😀. But good to know gor the next time i bring it in for servce.

POST 7Original post

Kinda curious if there is any risk to the mechanism closing the engine cover with the spoiler up. Unless you gently closed it seems like it might be a bit more of a jarring impact than the mechanism would usually encounter.

POST 8Original post

DeJeeper is right that the Spoiler Codeing in the Instrument Cluster can be changed to "Fixed Spoiler" and eliminate the warning light ( and functioning) for spoiler failure with PIWIS 1 or with PST2 Tester, ..........but unfortunately with PIWIS 2 or PIWIS 3 this function was not brought forward for our cars.. I have had Sally Coded for Fixed Spoiler for 18 years because I just don't like the look of the rear profile when spoiler is down...( non-Aero )...No issues with damage in closing the lid...

POST 9Original post

Try removing the spoiler down relay. This is underneath the rear carpet shelf.

POST 10Original post

Other than having someone follow me is there any way to tell if the spoiler does deploy when speed is reached?

POST 11Original post

I can see mine peek up in the rearview mirror

POST 13Original post

It goes up at 75 MPH, down at 37, I believe.

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 20159880

My spoiler goes up at 55 and down at 20. Always been that way. No idea why. I have always heard 75 and 35 as the speeds for the spoiler. Joey

POST 15Original post

glad I found this thread. so if I get someone with PIWIS to set it to ' Fixed Spoiler', can I still use the switch in the footwell to manually raise and lower? would prefer to have it lowered when I take through a car wash.
