This is a track car. New starter. New battery. Checked the ground strap and it seems okay. 13 volts in the engine compartment. When I turn the key, something clicks rapidly, but the car won�t start. What am I missing?

Rapid clicking is probably the key on relays. For some reason they r not latching so i agree with above as the ignition switch controls all of that power flow. It the clicking in the foot well near the fuses or on back by the dme? The starter relay is on the back self by the dme.

I pulled everything back apart. Hooked up the starter directly to the battery with jumper cables. It’s not spinning…. So I think my brand new starter is junk. tomorrow morning, I’m going to test a different batter just in case. Now to try to find a new starter this weekend somehow.

You can get a brand new Bosch starter on Amazon. I did years ago.
