I have greased and lubricated seals but no change, when the car is stationary I cant replicate it at all.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good eveniing all, and hello!
Ive just joined today, this site has been a real help in the month or 2 owning my first 911 (its been testing to say the least!)
I wondered if anyone had come across a noise like this before? To me it sounds like it is coming from OSR of the vehicle or the roof, but I really am at my wits end as this is constant and ruins the drive of the car. Hope someone can help of point me in the right direction, and thanks in advance I have attached a link from my Icloud of the noise, it constantly squeaks like this, more severely over bumps and undulations in the road, roof up or down. I have greased and lubricated seals but no change, when the car is stationary I cant replicate it at all. The car is an 02 plate 911 Cabriolet 996.

Liam2541, I did not listen to your noise, but here's something to try. As you drive along in your cab, reach out the window and press down on the top of the A pillar and cab top. If that reduces or gets rid of your noise, I know what's wrong. If on the passenger side, you may need an assistant to try the same thing as you drive along. At the very front corner of the cab top is a metal piece that mates with the top of the a pillar as the cab top closes. There are supposed to be plastic pieces to cover those two front latches. On my car one of those plastic pieces was missing causing the constant rattle that was driving me crazy. My description may not be so good, but check where the cab top engages with the a pillar.
Haha no idea why it did that! Thanks for the replies like, found what it was. Took it to a friend at Porsche, road tested, found one of the support bars by the back osr wheel underneath had got play, would never have looked there as was certain was in car! All sorted now anyway 👌🏼
