Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Lots of people I used to know in the Boston area got me in touch with the guys who did it for used car dealerships, but now that I am in San Jose I have no connections.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone, I've started to think about potentially getting a re-spray of the front bumper of my 2003 911 Carrera. The car is in great condition, except for the front bumper which (from a previous owner) has been pock marked with small chips in the center. There are also a couple of scratches that were poorly touched up. Anyone know a good, reliable place / person who does bumper re-spray? My experience in the past with an S4 was that taking the car to a body shop for this will be 2-3X more expensive than finding a place or person that focuses on resprays. Lots of people I used to know in the Boston area got me in touch with the guys who did it for used car dealerships, but now that I am in San Jose I have no connections. Any help? Also, what do you think a good price is? Best, Dave

POST 2Original post

I have taken a few of my vehicles to Fix Auto down in Gilroy. It's a chain but that particular shop seems to be very good and reasonably priced too. Hope that helps.
