Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All I'm thinking of doing some suspension upgrades on my 996 probably polybush kit and shock upgrade. I have looked at the BC racing Coilovers on eBay , they are cheaper than some more well known brands but look pretty good on the photos, there's a YouTube video aswel showing manufacture and it looks quite good. Has anyone had any experience with these , how they perform, what the build quality is like and how long they last. I don't mind if they aren't as well known as other brands of they do the job!

POST 2Original post

There's a thread (re: BC and a couple other inexpensive coil-overs) in the forums somewhere that I remember reading before I did my suspension. I think the general consensus is that they're "not up to the standards of the "Porsche World"...

POST 3Original post

For the money, BC's are actually very good. Keep in mind, they're not a lot of money. For other makes of car I'm interested in, they seem to hold up well and perform well, particularly when paired with some decent springs.

POST 4Original post

They say for turbo does that include the 996 c2 ? I have them my subaru forester sti swap and they are pretty good.

Nope, turbo is a different coilover.

POST 7Original post

I have had BCs on my cars in the past and enjoy them. Going to be picking up another set soon for my current car.

POST 8Original post

A friend had BCs on his C4S and was very happy with them. I have several friends with BCs on other makes of cars and no one has any real complaints.

POST 9Original post

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for with shocks. Ive yet to find an exception to that rule.
