Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

36 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

It has been 90 degrees for the past couple of weeks, and still not a single strand of dog hair.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Lame rice award goes to...the guy on the 215 yesterday as the wife, the dog, and I were driving back home. We're cruising along listening to Cold Case Files on HLN (much more entertaining than most everything else on Sirius XM) and I hear someone downshift precipitously and start winding up through gears, banging off the limiter. I counted 2+ gears... weeeeeEEEBANGBANGBANG weeeeeEEEBANGBANGBANG weeeeeeeEE before the puff of smoke behind the Honda in the right lane caught my eye and I noticed that he was sloooooooooowly pulling away from the other folks in the slow lane. I genuinely felt a little bad - the car was very nicely kitted, and the exhaust note was much less terrible than many fart cans, but it was glacially sloooooooooooow to accelerate. The dog opened one eye, sighed, and then went back to sleep...but he's strictly a V-8 fan. A Honda is not going to get him off the back seat of the Murano. (he doesn't get to ride in the 996 very often - claws and that center console paint don't do well together)

POST 2Original post

Looks like he gets to ride in the 'Vette, though!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, he digs the Corvette. The window sill is at just the right height for him when cruising for b*tches (he's a bit misogynistic. We're working on it.).

He's actually not....

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

He likes people to think he is. His dog therapist says he needs to work on his "persona."

POST 6Original post

Well, if he's riding in the Vette, he needs one of these...and you do too...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Heh. Naw, I think I'll leave the heavy gold to Hurdi.

Nice dog! Mini-doodle? How old is he? We just got a red Golden Doodle puppy a few months back.

I think you have it wrong. The Miata and Boxster forums are what you're thinking of. The 911 forums are stereotyped as a**holes. The 996 subforum is for cheap a**holes. Since I've had both a Boxster and a 996, I am a cheap tinkerbell with a**hole tendencies. Please try to keep it straight. Hurdi, that was awesome. Crap is a noun, not an adjective, but it appears you have a curmudgeon exception allowance on file. The Russian judge has allowed it. (Unless, of course, you actually meant that it was attractive crap - in which case...thanks?)

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think this is the part where I lock the thread because butthurt?

POST 15Original post

Its quite a compliment when you get ExTinkie and Oliver to post a comment back to back in your thread...

POST 16Original post

All of our vehicles (ok, not the Harley) have dog snot streaks on the windows. It makes me smile every time I see it and wipe it off. Happy dogs = happy me.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was truly disgusted at the mere thought of having my nose licked by a dog...until I got a dog.

POST 19Original post

My gf didn't like dogs until my 70# pointer taught her how refreshing unconditional love is. She still doesn't let him kiss her but that dog gets a few hours a day of lap time with gentle back stroking. My car cleaning routine involves an occasional clearing of window smudges as well p-dog.

My dog's Rennlist name - thanks to someone here, maybe Cuda or DTM - is Pee Pee Eye... Here's PPI in his native habitat...my side of the couch. He's a medium labradoodle - I think the size is dependent on the flavor of poodle (standard, miniature, etc.). He has the hypoallergenic traits that 1/4 or so Labradoodles inherit. It has been 90 degrees for the past couple of weeks, and still not a single strand of dog hair. It's fantastic. He's six years old but people assume he's a puppy because he's so damnably cute. His fur just gets progressively longer until we chop it off...the longer it gets, the more he looks like a stuffed animal (action shot of the dog watching F1).

POST 21Original post

Let me get this straight. Youre driving in a Murano and making fun of a Honda! Just joking, carry on.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The Murano isn't rocking a fart can and a VeilSide body kit. *edit* Holy crap, I had no idea I could pimp the Murano. Who knew?

POST 23Original post

So, having owned two 996s in a row, after letting go of a 993 C4S, 964, and 928, that would make me a recurrent cheap a**hole, with an established previous history of poor financial decision making?

POST 24Original post

Cute dog, Schnell. There's a lot of things I do for my princess that I'd never thought I'd be doing - cleaning up poo, vomit, etc., walking her at 3 A.M., standing outside in 100 degree temps while she chews on grass because she has a tummy ache, clearing snow in winter so she can find grass to eat, boiling chicken (boneless, skinless, organic mind you!) every weekend for snacks, buying dog food that looks better than the stuff we ate as kids, yada, yada. She knows who the softest touch in the house is. But, as long as that tail is up in the air, I'm a happy personal assistant to a 30 lb terrier. T

The dog ate 12 lambchops off the counter one night - raw - and then had projectile lamb sh*ts the next morning. The difference between a cat and a dog: The dog at least felt bad. If it had been the cat who shat lamb all over my tile, I'm sure she would have been irritated that it took me so long to get it taken care of. "Oh, boy...I believe you missed a spot." Yes, I believe you've got that one pegged. Clearly you are suffering from chronic cheapness with occasional bouts of lousy financial judgment.

POST 27Original post

So, does that mean you're not interested in buying any of my Enron stock or Greek municipal bonds?

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was really hoping to buy your autographed copies of "Parent Trap" and "Herbie the Love Bug" - I think that Lindsay Lohan chick is going to be a major star.

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow. Per Wikipedia: " In April, 2016, it was reported that Lohan is studying Islam after she was spotted carrying the copy of Quran; later on, Lohan confirmed the reports herself." That's one way to bring down the caliphate.

POST 30Original post

Gus. Yorkie/pug mix. Best. Dog. Ever. Greets me upon arriving home like I've been gone for ten years. Has to announce his fanatical devotion daily with a face bath, given the slightest opportunity. Where I am, so too goes Gus. I've had my share of dogs. I will mourn this dog like a little boy, when the calendar catches up with him in ten years or so.

POST 31Original post

OK now, gotta show my little guy... 15 1/2 years old...been thru 2 life threatening illness lately, several operations and the right meds and he's doing quite well... Stanley, a shih tzu, 15 pounds of pure love and affection...

POST 32Original post

My dog and her dog friends all ride in the back. 997.2 GTSs come with out heavy rear seats (free option if you want them) this gives lots of room for the canines. I don't let dogs lick my face, because I know where that tongue has been!

My girl is only 4 months, and nearly your boy's size already. She's a standard. Yeah, she gets mistaken for a stuffed animal all the time too. I had black labs in the past and sure don't miss the shedding. Pic is from about 4 weeks ago
