Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So I started to look for another one only to find that the price was ten fold from what I paid (had no idea how popular those older air cooled Porsche's were), Well since I could not afford one I found myself a very clean 2004 996 with 50K miles with all records and after a couple of months of driving it am hooked again.

Hello Fellow Porsche Owners
Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just joined rennlist and wanted to introduce myself. I purchased my first (and until recently) my only Porsche. In 1982 I got a 1974 Porsche 911 from a dealer for $11,500.00. I had to sell the car a couple of years later and to this day have missed it tremendously. So I started to look for another one only to find that the price was ten fold from what I paid (had no idea how popular those older air cooled Porsche's were), Well since I could not afford one I found myself a very clean 2004 996 with 50K miles with all records and after a couple of months of driving it am hooked again. Upon reading several posts, and to have piece of mind, I decided to do the IMS and RMS upgrade and since was into it had the clutch and flyweel replaced. The car is Atlas Grey with Sport shift, Bose Premium, White instruments, aluminum package and a few other options. Fun to drive and look forward to hearing stories, getting ideas and hepl and offering same on this site.

Thanks all for the warm welcome and although I think a Porsche in any color is hot, I have grown to like the Atlas Grey, it pops a gun metal blue in the sunlight. a dark grey in the shade and almost black at night, thanks Alpine 003.

Hey now, the only thing wrong with Seal Grey is it's a shade or two too close to Arctic Silver, the most overdone color in automotive history.

POST 15Original post

Atlas grey is one of my favorite Porsche colors. Well done and welcome to the madness.
