Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Edited to add: my bad, it's the cabin air filter...thanks! my cabin air filter needed to be changed, do ya think? My indy sent me this pic of the cabin air filter in the car. Glad I got it changed. I was wondering what the rat moving vans were doing around the car.

POST 2Original post

on the plus side you scored enough nuts to entertain during the holidays.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the trend is towards rodent aspirated engines.

POST 5Original post

That air filter doesn't look like a M96 air filter. Our filter is not completely rectangular.

POST 6Original post

That's the cabin air filter. The engine air filter does not have the foam gasket material. OP, it's a little worrisome that you've been breathing that stuff - hope you don't have hantavirus.

POST 8Original post

where is the air cabin filter located? I want to change mine and I got a new one from pelican a few weeks ago.

POST 9Original post

It's under the plastic cover in the front trunk, to the left of the battery.

POST 11Original post

thank you 5chn3ll, I'll do mine and see if I too have been breathing rodent air

It used to be driven once per week. Now that I own it, every day.

That's Chet, Gary.

POST 15Original post

Everyone knows that when these cars start acting funny...it's always mice...

POST 16Original post

I'm constantly pulling critter carcasses out of all of our cabin filters. I've never seen a mouse in our garage but they all know exactly where to nest.

POST 17Original post

Rats, that's a real cheesy story. (snicker) Glad to know you don't have some weird respiratory problem. But you got to hand it to the mouse... I mean how cool is it to set up home in a Porsche? I'm sure he had much bragging rights to his mouse buddies.

POST 18Original post

Highly recommend buying a charcoal activated filter for replacements instead of the papel element. Its only a few dollars more. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Boxs...tW6mjF&vxp=mtr

Does the charcoal repel rodents?

POST 20Original post

No, but you can just toss a match in there and barbecue those suckers up.

POST 21Original post

Hmmm... now I need to go check my cabin filter.
