Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anybody who has replaced swaybars have data on the various weights of the options out there? OE, M030, H&R, Eibach, GT3, etc. I have been able to find info on diameters, but not weights. Sometimes the aftermarket stuff is alarmingly heavier than the OE parts, so would like to know before I buy anything. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

have my OE sways in the study, will try to weigh them later. My mechanic said the aftermarket H&Rs are hollow, but we didn't cover exact weights. They sure as hell make a difference in heavy cornering though.

POST 3Original post

H&R's are solid. Only the OEM GT3 bars along with the RUF bars are hollow. All others are solid.

Both Front and Rear? IIRC, when I got my ROW kit, I thought it was solid but like I said, it's been awhile.

ahh - honestly I bet that's just me misremembering. Thanks

POST 7Original post

Is one truly able to tell the weight difference from one sway bar to next while driving?

No, and this part of the car to save weight has the least impact as any negligible weight is already down at the lowest part of the car which least upsets handling in any way. Also remember the torsional rigidity is different between solid and hollow given the same diameters. You would have to make the hollow ones bigger in diameter and/or move the mounting holes closer to the bar to have the same effectiveness. With that said I can easily feel quite a bit of weight difference on my gt3 bars.
