Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm going to Laguna Seca next week and unfortunately, it's a 92 db exhaust weekend. I've taken off my usual setup and put on my Fisters, but it's still too loud. I've got to change to bone stock for this ONE event. Does anybody here have a pair of 99-01 mufflers lying around in their garage that they've changed out and want to sell cheap (or loan - more than glad to pick up shipping both ways!!). Thanks a million, Guyz!! ~john

POST 2Original post

I've got a set of stocks I can loan you. Pm your info.

Slakker - you are a ROCK STAR!!!

POST 5Original post

I've seen guys stuffing steel wool into the tailpipes to cut down the noise at the track. How much over the 92db are you with the current mufflers?

POST 6Original post

^ We used to do that with our dirt bikes in the early 70s to quiet them down.

POST 7Original post

Unless they cracked down on others cheating the system, you could just get a 90 degree pipe to channel the sound away from the mic's or you can add an extension muffler like some. This used to be pretty common site at that track. LOL. ipC1XUr.jpg

That steel wool is a great idea! I think borrowed stock mufflers will be fine. Mine are Fister mod, and while they sound great... 5-6k is probably not going to pass. I know a few people that are using pipes angled away from the sound shack - some really funny looking stuff...
