Suggestion

U cant use plastic hardware because u have to force the tip to fit as its not an exact fit for the mk1 bumper.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a stock MK1 bumper. Will these fit? https://www.demonspeedmotorsports.co...6SpoilerSQ.htm

POST 2Original post

No it will stick out a little to far but they can be trimmed this my cup bumper on my aero

POST 3Original post

The normal 996.2 gt3 front lip would look more appropriate

POST 4Original post

They've got the race and street version of the splitter, do they fit on the mk1 aero bumper directly or also need to be modified for that?

POST 5Original post

Quotes source post: 18253335

Not directly. U have to flex it a little and drill new holes. I used 1/4 bolt, nuts and fender washers for attachment.

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 18253357

Did you need to remove the bumper for installation or just lift the front end?

POST 7Original post

U can reach in there when on the lift. Doubt it with the car on the ground but maybe on tall jack stands?.

POST 8Original post

Quotes source post: 20229287

Ok yeah since Im working with 1 jack I ended up removing the bumper to install the lip on a sawhorse. I attached at the center hole first and then aligned the outermost holes to ensure symmetry when drilling out the new holes. How did you attach yours at the outermost holes? Im not sure how this will go on with the fender liner and the screws that were originally in those spots.

POST 9Original post

I used 1/4" bolts and fender washers. U cant use plastic hardware because u have to force the tip to fit as its not an exact fit for the mk1 bumper. Just ignore the old holes and none of the new bolts interfere with the liners. U can get to the corner holes so u wont have an issue.
