Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I usually either hold the inside door handle open (because it drops then) or I just use the power window switch to crack it before closing the door, but I have to remember to do that each time.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I understand the issue with the window not dropping in order to close the door safely. Mine opens when I open the door and goes back up when I release the handle. I usually either hold the inside door handle open (because it drops then) or I just use the power window switch to crack it before closing the door, but I have to remember to do that each time. If I am inside of the car and door is closed with window up, I open the door to exit the window drops as it should and it stays down for me to exit and close the door! Can't understand why it works like this, any help? Thank you
