Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I see aftermarket springs for sale that say they will fit any AWD 996, ie C4, C4S or Turbo so Im assuming the stock Turbo springs will fit a C4? I have someone offering me a set for free, thanks

POST 2Original post

What's your goal? I would expect the Turbo springs to have a slightly higher spring rate which will probably increase the front ride height a little.

POST 3Original post

I just installed C4 front springs on my C4S and they work good. Much nicer ride.

I just want to lower the car a little. But I found another thread on this board asking the same exact question 23 years ago! Someone said the same thing you did. Basically, the Turbo car is heavier, so it has a heavier spring rate, so it would actually lift my car. Thanks,
