I bought a set of koni sport yellows and inspecting these and pushing the rod with my hands, I noticed that one of them is not rebounding (front), it stays compressed even if I adjust the top valve.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all I bought a set of koni sport yellows and inspecting these and pushing the rod with my hands, I noticed that one of them is not rebounding (front), it stays compressed even if I adjust the top valve. The other three shocks do rebound as expected. Is this expected on these shocks? Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJVq...ature=youtu.be

POST 2Original post

My guess is you have a bad shock out of the box. Anyway you can return and replace?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, I can return it, I just wanted confirmation that is bad... I emailed koni to see..

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

FYI, just got back a message from koni about this issue... It appears the shock lost its gas somehow from factory so its defective. They will be sending me a replacement one. Make sure you test these shocks before you install them.
