Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

31 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello ! I live in the vicinity of Paris (France) and I'm the (very) happy owner of a 996 4S. Completely crazy about 911 since my childhood, I'm already member of several forums in France and I have decided today to cross the Ocean. Here my Beauty. She was born in 2004. She is equipped with the X51 power kit. Mileage : 41 000 Miles and she looks brand new like. I use only my 911 only for fun the week end and during my holidays. Best regards. Stephane. Rear view...

POST 5Original post

Very Very nice car. Looks Pristine. Needs motor mounts. Are you planning on doing anything to it?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello. Everything in fine. Nothing special to do to it. The IMS is fine ; the engine has been changed in 2006 by an official Porsche dealer in France. It is equipped with the "official" updated IMS . I want to keep it in a completely "stock" condition.

POST 10Original post

Hello. Where is the problem with the position of the engine ? It's a particular pathology with the C4S ? Thank you for your informations. Stephane

POST 18Original post

You Tube

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Merci pour ces infos ; je vais faire vrifier a par mon centre Porsche. Thank you for your answer ; my Porsche dealer are going to check this. Stephane

POST 21Original post

You're welcome Stephane! BTW, I'm impressed by Cuda911's diagnosis! Don't worry, Stephane, you mechanic will test the engine-mounts. If needed, replacing them is not a big deal. I wish you a lot of fun with this beauty, Joe

POST 22Original post

My tips used to sag, but after putting new mounts on the car the **** sit flush with the bumper.

POST 23Original post

Yep, no one wants sagging ****.

POST 24Original post

Amazing looking car Stephane, you are very lucky to have found this perfect example, great color combo as well... It really looks brand new "inside-out", incredible, even the leather seats have no wear, nice. Welcome to the club and enjoy your new C4S, especially on the Autobahn :-). Cheers...

POST 25Original post

POST 26Original post

Pardon my French, but that car is F%#$ING gorgeous! Were the silver radiator grilles & exhaust vents a factory option or were they painted? When I search for photos of C4S's I see it's pretty rare on widebody cars. I love, love, love, love it. Well done, mate!

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi. Thank all for your friendly comments. Rvanhaasen, regarding your issues with your car, the precedent owner of my 4S had also changed the aircon condensers due to a leak. For my part, I have already changed the clutch. All the rest is perfect. Roll on for the spring (or at least a shiny winter day - nasty weather in Paris this week) and some great drive to Deauville !

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 14694479

Hi. The front grilles are part of the Exclusif Program (code 09991) : the code for this factory option is M095. I have these informations in the car service book. Regarding the exhaust vents I don't have any "official" information about a potential option ; perhaps they have been painted by the previous owner ...

POST 29Original post

that is an absolutely beautiful car! don't trust the position of exhaust tips to determine whether or not motor mounts are bad. This is an urban legend

POST 30Original post

Regarding the exhaust tips: Mine were asymmetrically sagging, as well. Recommended new motor mounts through Rennlist. I did so. They're still asymmetric. But hey: New motor mounts, so no harm, no foul. Spectacular C4S. I may try to find how to make my intake and exhaust grilles silver in the same fashion: Mine is midnight blue and would IMO look spectacular with that minor modification. Well done, Stephane. Enjoy.
