Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We had a very Merry Christmas for the 996. An Alcantara shift **** with blue stitching And a 1/43 scale little brother 996 with aero kit in blue I hope everyone has a great Christmas also!!!!!

POST 3Original post

Oops, got confused with the other shirts. Let's try that again:

POST 4Original post

Also got a beautiful calendar from a fellow PCA member and friend for helping him with his recent P-car purchase:

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Love it KC....I had to go back to the beginning and make sure I didn't post "Gifts for the 966"

POST 6Original post

That shift **** is cool. Hey, what's the red thing that the hungry-looking dog is staring at?

POST 7Original post

while not mine, I believe it's one of those gizmos that shoots a dog treat so they can chase it.

POST 8Original post

I'm saving for a T96 steering wheel, not sure if my friends are nice enough to get me a $700 steering wheel lol! That calendar is great, the service advisor at a local dealer gave me one for free after I left a positive survey after a service Merry Christmas!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Carl, you are correct, it's a treat shooter for the dog. He loves it!

Nicely done I got that one for my birthday - nice fabric. Other than 996 items that Dad purchased himself, I got a set of Porsche paper clips. And yes, they're shaped like little 911's.

POST 11Original post

A wall mounted Track Sculpture. I choose, I mean Santa got me the small full track Nurburing for above a 32" computer monitor. Here's a coupon code if you guys want a discount.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Installed the shifter this morning in about 5 minutes. The original was held in with a set screw. Loosened the screw and it slid right off.

POST 13Original post

Bought some Weathertech floor mats for the winter so I don't wreck my nice Porsche ones... Might consider leaving them in year round, they work so well.

POST 14Original post

@RDL - May I ask where the shifter was purchased? Might have to pick one up for myself!

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Suncoast has the shift ***** at a reasonable price.

walvendia: I bought the same shifter about 3 months ago, it's got at least 500 miles on it now.....but I sent my old shifter, steering wheel, sun visors, etc. off to Poland yesterday to be re-covered in Alcantara. I'm going to sell my "new to me" Alcantara shifter that I bought a few months ago at a discount, but want to get the recovered one back first to ensure everything looks good. It was $274 shipped....I would sell it for $220 shipped to you, but you've got to wait.

POST 17Original post

Just took a pic. Wife got me a cover for the 996 for Christmas. Nice wife.

POST 18Original post

Very nice, replaced mine w the same one sans blue stitching, great looking shifter!

POST 19Original post

A preemptive garage gift to myself for my hopeful future 996 purchase. 996 backlit wall sign: 996TurboRear.jpg I'm planning on adding red film to the brake light sections similar to how I did on the 991 one. IMG_5195.jpg We'll see how it turns out. I'm excited though.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Very cool looking stuff. It appears my 996 is not the only one to have a good Christmas.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, Christmas in July consisted of muffler bypass pipes purchased from a fellow Rennlister (Thanks Jeremy). I put them on this morning before the day got too hot. They are certainly LOUD! It's going to take some time getting used to the sound at low RPM. Above 3K RPM the sound is absolutely GLORIOUS!!!!! I can't wait to get out on the track and hear the sound.
