Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Did you give any thought about why/why not to use the break in / flush oil first?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 month ownership anniversary for my '99 C2.

Today @ 63,188 miles I switched to JG DT40. 12 quarts $129.49 total, plus a free oil analysis from RND Euro Parts (rndeuroparts.com). DIY in my garage today.
Im going with IMS after PPI for piece of mind and the fact this is a low mileage car. Only had oil changes but don't know how often. Reputable CA shop doing car before I get it. I want to drive and enjoy without worry.
I think from what Ive read, for resale it would be wise to do.
You know, I've seen oil bottles in stores for years, but I have to admit there is just something really "artsy" drawing me to look at that picture again. It's almost like a poster, but just art for the car guy. Nicely done....
After driving over 50 miles with the DT40, I am absolutely 100% sure of the following:
If the IMS was even slightly failing, it has now been healed...
The car has 50HP more at a the very minimum...
When accelerating over 6000rpm I can hear a faint whisper from the engine saying "JAKE" in a soft lovely female voice...
My head lights are brighter...
All the paint chips and several dings have disappeared...
And most amazing of all, I spilled a small puddle of it on my garage floor and in the sheen of the surface appeared an image of Jesus with arms open as if blessing my 911 from all the evil CEF's. Might have been Jake, the lighting was bad...
Guys....this is really great oil!!
It sounds like you went directly from Mobil 1 to DT40. Did you give any thought about why/why not to use the break in / flush oil first?
I only ask because I'm about to go the same path as you.
I read where that is ideal in Jake's opinion, but not necessary. Most so UOA don't get cross contaminated. Maybe he'll jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.
My plan is to do 3,000 miles on this dt40 change. Then another fill and drive 5,000 or 6 months and then do a UOA. I got a complementary one since I ordered from RND Euro Parts.
