I was lucky that I got the steering wheel and shift **** replaced under factory warranty.

I used Craft Customs on my 996 carbon steering wheel and they did a great job.

A body shop, or detailer (you can basically epoxy dip with Rocklear instead of using clear coat) can do this for you.

Hi fellow enthusiasts the carbon fiber is cracked on the brake handle and shift lever, does the forum have knowledge of any company I can send to and have refinished? Thank you.
Depends where it's cracked. If the clear coat cracked and lifted, you can still save it by getting rid of the clear coat and repainting each piece with new 2k clear. A body shop, or detailer (you can basically epoxy dip with Rocklear instead of using clear coat) can do this for you.
If the carbon fiber weave itself cracked (holy ****), I can take your pieces to Spinnaker Composites (he doesn't normally take individual customers anymore) to completely remove and re-wrap with new carbon and gloss coat, but this will cost probably 2x a body shop's clearcoat job.
FYI, I recently replaced my carbon fiber e-brake handle with a new one from Germany. Cost was about $3,300. The gear shift **** should be less.
The e-brake handles in carbon are getting hard to find, but you might find something used. I believe that the CF in my car (steering wheel, gear shift ****, and e-brake) all cracked due to poor coatings as the car is garage kept. I was lucky that I got the steering wheel and shift **** replaced under factory warranty. The e-brake cracked right after the CPO warranty expired, but I just ignored it until the handle's return spring finally broke last month. So, none of those parts were that old before cracking. The replacements have been fine for the last 14 years (new e-brake is about 1 month old).
I know DB Carbon sells a replacement e-brake handle, but it is not OEM, nor does it look like it, but that may not matter to you.
