I put +/-2000 miles a year, store it November to March, and change the oil every year..

My formula to slow it - Use good oil with MSO2 and Ceratec every other change.

Finally broke down and had my shop check for bore scoring on my 2003 C4S with 97k miles. This image is the worst one. One other cylinder had it but it was difficult to see. Just posting to get people's opinons on how long I can contunue to use the car - miles/years? Seem minor to me and I want to keep drving it. I put +/-2000 miles a year, store it November to March, and change the oil every year.. I don't rev above 3k until the car is warm and oil pressure drops. Don't think I can afford the rebuild. Otherwise the car is awesome. Thanks.

I found similar in my �04 with 55k miles and was told it was very minor. I am just keeping on top of oil changes and using Ceratec.

My number 5 in my '05 C4S is a little worse, no going back once it starts. No symptoms yet at 48k. My formula to slow it - Use good oil with MSO2 and Ceratec every other change. Drive it like it's new!

2 of you mentioned Ceratec. I have not heard of this before but I see that it is an oil additive. How are you using it - how much, when, miles, time?
