I replaced the front hood struts. Now the hood is a little misaligned and the hood pops up a little when I shut it. You can push it down. I assumed these were just plug and play. Did I do something incorrectly, or is there an adjustment. The hood aligned and closed properly before I changed the struts. The replacement struts are OEM

Did you install them correctly? The struts are gas filled, so they tend to lift the hood. There are no adjustments.

I assume I did but judging by the result maybe not. I just watched a video on youtube. It was pretty simple just clipping them in.

Loose hinges? There are only 3 points of contact to define how the hood sits. The added up-force from the new struts is changing the alignment. The must be due to play in one of the 3 points. Check your hinges for up and down play.
