Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Carpet foam drenched Drain tube behind rear speaker panel Tube attaches to this nozzle After cleaning out the rear drains on my cab I tested it and noticed water still got into the cabin under the rear seat. Make sure your plastic drain tubes are connected to the drain hole on the rear cab. After cleaning mine still got water in the car. I found the other (high) end of the corrugated plastic tube that empties into the tray was not connected so the drain water just went into the rear seat under the carpet!

POST 2Original post

Yes - great tip. I went through this earlier this year and found all kinds of debris in the trays and one hose not connected. Cleaned everything up and put the drain tube back there it belonged and so far so good. Symptom was the same - wet carpet that would never dry. The cabrio drain system is pretty bizarre. Daryll

By any chance do you have a diagram of the path of the drainage system? I'm experiencing the exact same thing happening. Thanks

Love, love, love this site. I will be all over these drains this weekend. Last night I was researching why my new key fob would not work and discovered there answer on this site. Talked to the dealer and they said they will take care of it for about $250 if everything works out okay. My key is working perfectly now. Whoohoo!!! You gotta love this site.
