Goes up....but when I press down I just hear the pump run for 3-4 seconds with no movement.

Has it been calibrated? I have read from previous discussion that when tops are replaced, it needs to be calibrated so the micro switches know the position of each item for the operation to work correctly.

Is the side flaps working? I think the first that should is that the side flaps should fold. Or did I get that wrong? I had an issue, was a piece of broken plastic on one side. Got a new one from ebay ($70).

Ok reason I ask is because I think the switches inside the flaps needs to be close/open before the top can go down. The flaps can go down even if the switch doesn't connect. Have you tried calibration using durametric?
