I'll report back in a few months to see if the repair holds up, but I thought I'd share in case it can help someone else in the meantime.
Leading evidence: 'Repair holds up' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair holds up' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

After the gymnastics exercise to change the coolant tank, I wasn't really excited to do another one to change the fill tube.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I was recently doing a coolant tank replacement. Unfortunately, at the very start of the job, I broke the oil fill tube when disconnecting it from the air box (the flexible tubing tore where it meets the rigid part of the assembly). After the gymnastics exercise to change the coolant tank, I wasn't really excited to do another one to change the fill tube. I did some research and read about other repairs (duct tape, RTV sealant, etc.), and thought of a different method. I made the repair using some 3" diameter, adhesive lined, heat shrink tubing (McMaster Carr 7207K7, $15.62). The piece of tubing that I bought was 9" long, and I cut a 4" long piece off of it for the repair. The tubing is thick and joined the parts well. The adhesive makes an airtight seal. As it shrinks lengthwise, it left behind some of adhesive on the flexible tube, but it dried hard and I'm not worried about dust/dirt sticking to it. You can also see where the adhesive oozed out at the front of the tubing, which helped form a good seal. I looked inside the fill tube and didn't see any adhesive that might have made it past the joint between the two pieces.
I'll report back in a few months to see if the repair holds up, but I thought I'd share in case it can help someone else in the meantime.

Looks like it should work fine if you don't mind the "ghetto" look!
At the very least it'll buy you enough time til you want to actually get in there and change out the filler tube. Good job!
I just replaced mine while doing the starter. All the tutorials make it seem way scarier than it actually is. 3.5 hours is all it took for me to remove alternator, starter, oil filler tube etc. I did get lucky with the alternator bolt. for me the hardest part was getting the throttle body back in.
