Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Doesnt make a noise and I disconnected power source behind cdc and still nothing.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect power source behind cdc and still nothing' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I just went behind the cdc unit and pulled out the connectors then reconnected 5 seconds later.

Sometimes taking it to Porsche dealership to do a factory reset helps remove any bugs.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello, is there a way I can troubleshoot my cd changer that all of a sudden will not eject? And on my pcm 2 screen, once I select CDC, it reads no magazine even though it has one inside. Please help!!
Does the changer do anything? Make noise like its jammed? If it dosent do anything i would try disconnecting it or the battery for a few minutes and then retry. I cant begin to tell you how many automotive electonic issues can be resolved by a simple battery reset. If there is a noise it will require some level of disasembly to figure out whats jammed.
check the fuse. Maybe blown. If not i would assume either the wake up signal is missing or the unit is dead.
i assume by your profile pic its a 2002 to 2004 c4s with bose.
I've dealt with several of these systems including the MOST based units. It's my guess that you have a one or two problems occurring -
1. The CDC-4 has died basically making the PCM2 blind to the CD changer unit. That's why you're getting the errors.
2. The PCM2's MOST output is malfunctioning. This is probably not the case, but I've experienced this before with one of my units. Sometimes taking it to Porsche dealership to do a factory reset helps remove any bugs. The early MOST based systems have been known to be very problematic. Lots of 996 owners choose to put aftermarket unit in this cars because a new PCM2 unit from Porsche costs over $5,000.
Can you detail what you did? Remove and unplug the unit?
My new (to me) car worked until I loaded the magazine and reads magazine then I only get the cd in the head unit to play. Mag won't eject and makes no noise.
Also, there's a dial on the unit that raises and lowers the magazine, what's this do exactly? I can't find any user instructions that detail this.
I just went behind the cdc unit and pulled out the connectors then reconnected 5 seconds later. I didnt have the key in the ignition during the process.
