Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would appreciate the collective wisdom on wheel and tire choice for my 2000 NB 996 (slightly less room than mk2 cars as I understand). Car is a base non aero kit car. Car will sit a little bit lower than stock as I am currently installing GT3 coilovers. Currently has 17 inch Twists with Sumitomo tires. The OE wheels I am considering are below. Sport Classic - FRONT 18X8.5 et 45, REAR'S 18X10et 65 Lightweight Five Spoke - FRONT 18X8.5 et 52, REAR'S 18X10et 65 While I prefer the look of the Sport Classics, I understand that they are heavy? Not sure by how much despite research. Is the difference enough to notice in handling? Are folk happily running more than the 5mm spacers Porsche seems to endorse for Mk1 cars? Thank you, Remy
