Normal glues don't work very well for these types of applications, but if you must, I'd recommend removing the panels, clean with alcohol, and applying an epoxy bonding adhesive.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What type of plastic is the P996 belly pan made from? I ask because mine has some small defects that I'd like to be able to fix. I was hoping to find some spare plastic of the same type, and the correct solvent / adhesive to make a strong bond between them.

POST 2Original post

I've had to replace some of the plastic panels on my car. Doesn't look like anything special is regards to the chemical nature of the panels. I'm assuming some of your panels have cracked or scratched badly? Normal glues don't work very well for these types of applications, but if you must, I'd recommend removing the panels, clean with alcohol, and applying an epoxy bonding adhesive. However, my best advice is replace the damaged panels.

POST 3Original post

I kind of want to make a custom one with as few pieces as possible. That would be an interesting project.

POST 4Original post

Most plastic automotive panels have an identifier on them somewhere that will tell you the type of plastic...
