Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1999 911 Cab and I need to purchase new wheels because someone (no name I should mention) hit a pot hole and bent front and back rims on the same side (probably original twist wheels). Currently, the car has 7 J wheels on the front with an offset of 55. Front tires are 205/50/17. The rear has 9.0 J wheels with offset of 55 wearing 255/40/17. I would like to move up to 18 " rims with a 7.5 J on the front and 10 J on the rear. The front wears a 225/40/18 offset of 50 and the rear has 265/35/18 offset of 65. I recently replaced all 4 struts with Bilstein B6s and stops. How can I determine if the new wheels and tires will actually fit? I am purchasing the BBS from a private individual in a different state and would like to know how to determine if they will fit. HELP please, 911 Pirate

POST 2Original post

Those are standard 996 sizes for 18 wheels. They will be fine.

POST 3Original post

Yeah...in fact I have GT3 wheels and they are even bigger. I think they 8.5" with 40 ET and the rears are 11" with ET63....on my rears I also use 5mm spacers...all fits perfect on a 996.1 C2
