Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
In the test specs it does not show what III/42 should be.
Leading evidence: 'Test specs it does not show what iii/42 should be' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test specs it does not show what iii/42 should be' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello,
In order to get the PSM to work on my LS3/525 996 C4 swap, the Porsche ECU requires MAF and TPS inputs. I think we have a solution for the MAF, however I have not been able to locate a schematic or output values for the 1999 C4 996 Throttle Position Sensor.
Thanks in advance!
Robin.
I thought they were cable driven as well. But with some digging I came up with a wiring diagram and specs. Looks like it has 2 potentiometers in it. her are the specs. Hope this is what you were looking for.
Connecting Voltmeter to pin III/24 (positive) and pin III/25 (negative)
Closed throttle 0.7V - 0.9V
Full Throttle 4.1V - 4.5V
Connecting Voltmeter to pin III/8 (positive) and pin III/25 (negative)
Closed Throttle 4.0V - 4.4V
Full Throttle 0.5V - 0.8V
This is great, however I saw a similar diagram for earlier porsche models. The Momentary switch btwn 1 and 4, if connected to 2 would be the same circuit. Is this diagram from the 996?
What are the voltages at III42 and III10?
Is there a graph/table of the outputs?
Thanks!
I looked this up for the exact car you listed.
III/10 is a 5Volt reference
Other than these that I have now sent, there are not other pics/graphs.
In the test specs it does not show what III/42 should be. It only states to hook up an oscilloscope and special tester 9637 and expect the following under no throttle and full throttle.
And unless I am confused by your statement..... That is not a "Momentary Switch" between 1 and 4. That is that actual throttle body motor that drives the plate. You would NOT connect that to 2.
Sometimes its a pain in the butt finding this info in my many sources. but I found more. Straight from the manual...
Function
The position of the throttle is controlled by a digital position controller which emits a pulse -width-modulated (PWM) duty cycle and a direction bit.
The output stage takes a form of an integrated bridge circuit with internal current limitation. The input variables are the nominal throttle angle on the one hand and the actual throttle angle on the other.
I will take a look. I prefer forums like this, they are searchable and free of facebook's incessant user tracking. Also forums are better structured for subject matter with categories.
