Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So I replaced the bellows but now I cant seem to find a gentle way to get the damn spring clamps back on.

The Genuine Porsche AOS has been changed/revised numberous times as indicated from all the part number supersessions but they have all been marked with Mann+Hummell indicators and part numbers.

Suggestion
Also if you want to use worm screw clamps, don't buy the standard type, I always use the type designed for silicone hoses type clamps, they fully protect the hose from being cut, cost more but worth it.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Are there any other styles that would work besides the dang factory spring clamps? My bellows was weeping and I suspect one of the two spring clamps must have cut it during the install of my UAOS last spring. So I replaced the bellows but now I cant seem to find a gentle way to get the damn spring clamps back on. Im not sure that a worn screw clamp would be appropriate as they can damage rubber plus the upper portion of the bellows attaches to a plastic component of the AOS. I also really dont want to have to remove the AOS in order to get the clamps installed
Heres a pic of the new bellows without the clamps installed. Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated.

I forgot about those. Thanks for the reminder.
To save myself time and shipping, Im looking at trying one of these:

The 996 PET actually has different part numbers for the upper and lower clamps, and different numbers for 996.2 cars. For
.1 cars
, the lower clamp is 999 512 630 00 like you posted, and the upper clamp is 999 512 551 00 but it has superseded to 999 512 551 01 (and it is now a worm screw clamp
).
A single pack of Ideal SmartSeal clamps includes two clamps. They are a tad wider than I wanted but I think it will be ok due to the protection created by the inner ring.
@Porschetech3
are the bellows supplied with your UAOS? I dont recall. If so, were they by chance URO bellows? The only reason I ask is because the new bellows that I installed is a Porsche part and the outer diameter of the ribbed portion was noticeable skinnier than the one I removed. Or maybe Porsche made a recent change? Dunno.not that it matters, just curious.
The Genuine Porsche AOS has been changed/revised numberous times as indicated from all the part number supersessions but they have all been marked with Mann+Hummell indicators and part numbers. Mann+Hummell has manufacturing plants all over the world ( enen in China) so who knows...
Also I just checked the bellows and spigots and the top and bottom are the same size, not 2mm smaller on the bottom one, meaning the same clamp will fit both...lol
It wouldnt be the first time that the PET has inaccurate info. I have a close friend that works for PCNA in ATL and its a headache that comes up from time to time. Its definitely an issue in the 928 PET too because that one spans all 928 models from 78 to 95 in a single document.
