Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So i just bought a new door lock mechanism and problem solved.
I have searched the forum for my particular issue and I haven found it. My passenger side window no longer retracts when the door handle is moved.
This occurs for both the interior door handle and the exterior handle. Would both switches fail at the same time? I can raise/lower the window with the window switch just fine. I am looking for a how to if it turns out I just need the microswitches.
There are more than two mircoswitches per door, I forget how many, something like 8. Depending on which are worn out, they can lead to a number of different issues. I had an issue a while back where the window would lower, but would raise immediately after i released either the inner or outer handle.
I tried to find replacement microswitches per
this thread
and others, but the only sellers I found had min order qty's of 500 or more. So i just bought a new door lock mechanism and problem solved. I'm sure you could save money and just try some generic switches from ebay, but i didn't wanna have to take my door apart several times if it didn't fix this issue the first or second time around.
Pretty decent resource
here
too if you haven't found already.
I need to change the latches on mine too. I have at least one bad micro switch in my driver's side door since my doors unlock immediately after I lock them with the fob. There is a thread on using VW latches and swapping some of the plastic bits. You avoid the Porsche tax.
Reference this thread here. I posted some pictures of a fix I did swapping with a door latch from an Audi. Similar components and only $25. Need some basic knowledge of electronics.
