Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've read the horror stories, but know two people that use tow dollies with no issue.
Leading evidence: 'Use tow dollies' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use tow dollies' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

First, I am simply musing here, and likely not even serious. But sparing everyone the lengthy details, I've decided to buy a car dolly to tow a vehicle behind our RV. I have a '91 Miata, a classic truck, and a 2WD Lexus Rx350 (the likely tow vehicle). In reading up on these dollies, I found it interesting that normally it is not a good idea to tow a car backwards, because the engine weight is now hanging out back, causing major handling issues. Makes sense.
While I never considered towing my C2 on the thing, with the engine in the rear, maybe it's possible? The dolly I'm considering has a real low load height, and extra long ramps. I realize the nose will probably scrape, making it impossible, but other than that, what issues might I anticipate? Steering wheel needs to be secured, but other than that? Sure would be nice to bring it along sometimes!
Personally, I would never tow a 911 with a dolly but then, I have a tilt back flat and an enclosed trailer so really don't have the need to.
I think you will have an issue with the back of the car scraping on the ground, especially going in and out of driveways and such. The the front of the car on the doll, the back end may hit the ground when you are on flat ground.
I would either put it on a full tandem axle trailer (with brakes) or not tow it.
I have never had a good experience towing anything with a tow dolly. I broke the steering wheel lock/ignition and dented the rocker on a maxima. Buy a decent enclosed and take what ever u want. This is how we roll, can your rv can handle more trailer?
Would love a trailer, but can't do it with my RV, and no place to stow it. I've read the horror stories, but know two people that use tow dollies with no issue.
But I doubt I'll consider the 996. Just wish I could bring it everywhere!
