I've got a 17mm bolt extractor on the way, but in the meantime I'm trying to figure out the size of the fill plug in order to replace it.

Hey everyone. The fill plug on my front differential is rounded off. I've got a 17mm bolt extractor on the way, but in the meantime I'm trying to figure out the size of the fill plug in order to replace it. I have a spare 18x1.5mm engine oil drain plug (the one with a hex head) and I'm curious if it's the same size/length and would work here? Thanks for the insight!

Here's a pic of the difference in size. Front diff fill plug is much shorter but the engine oil plug sealed fine. I left the washer on as well. Thanks for the help!
