Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I pull the door handle the window goes down around 1/4", when i let go of the door handle before shutting it the window goes back up, so when you close the door it is catching the rubber surround at the top of the glass. Is there a switch in the door that needs replacing? Thanks john

POST 3Original post

There are also several microswitches in the door latch mechanism (Part# 8N1837015C). I had the same issue when i bought my car a few months back and started researching. While the individual microswitches are out available separately, i couldn't find a distributor that would sell less than 500 at a time, lol. Was hoping i could just replace the microswitches as the door latch is spendy. I ultimately just bit the bullet and bought a new door latch from Porsche as i didn't wanna risk the same issue w/ a used part. Also didn't wanna replace the one microswitch DBJoe outlines above because i didn't wanna go through the effort of pulling the door apart only to have the same issue. Replaced the door latch and it now works as designed.
