Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
We have been doing some testing on cold air intakes for my 996 and we have found that most do not seal out hot air from engine well and we get 10-20 more HP with the stock intake.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sorry, I don't know but i think you do.... both brombacher and fabspeed have em, i'm sure others too..... still have the mufflers? throw any codes? hows does she sound? curious b/c looking into modding my mufflers too. thanks
Yes, I still have the mufflers and they have the Gundo hack as well. The car sounds amazing with the current setup and seems to rev quicker but there is a CEL due to the cats being removed.
I just got off the blower w/Fabspeed and a tune will sort her out so I'm going to purchase one and she doesn't drone at highway speeds. The only other thing I'm going to do is get a Fabspeed intake and I'll be done at that point. So to recap, she currently has a CEL due to the minimal mods but a tune will eliminate that and will also maximise the performance with the current setup.

Appreciate the heads up on the intake, kind of thought it was more about the sound than any real BHP gains and I agree about the hot air but have never done any testing to validate.
For what it is worth:
I installed the
200 Cel Cats from Top Gear in the UK
with FISTER D Cans. I posted this video:

. A couple of months ago, I had my 00 C2 tuned using Viezu Mapping. I am very please with the outcome. Throttle is snappy. The car runs very smooth and pulls hard.
