Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I bought my car 10 or so years ago the frame of the wind deflector was broken in one place. It was also impossible to fold (for me) so assume the previous owner forced it and broke it I limped along with duck tape and other tricks to keep it together. I bought a new (used) one after I got tired of patching it up five or so years ago and I can still not get it to close properly. Is there some kind of button or release to engage? Sometimes some of it closes but I never seem to get the whole thing done. I've put a good deal of force to it but don't want to break this one as well. Thanks for your help.

POST 2Original post

If your talking about folding the deflector flat while still mounted in car, yes, it takes quite a bit of force. Mind that resistance has to hold that deflector up a high speeds and high winds, so it has to be pretty firm.
