Working on firing up my drivers heated seat. It works, but randomly. I did the easy stuff; checked fuse and installed new switch. I've got my Bentley's manual open to the wiring diagram. It shows a relay for both the left and right heated seats. I've tried to trace the wire loom, but tight quarters....no luck. There is a relay buss nearby, but I didn't find a map... and don't hear any "click" when turning the drivers/passengers seat on. Does anyone know where this might be? My cold butt would be appreciative.

Oh, I think I found it under the seat... thx guys. Hoping that this is a relay and not a shorted heater.

There was a post a month or so back that mentioned a similar problem. The OP mentioned that he would hit the switch, it would light but not "latch" (the light wouldn't stay on - i.e. power was being delivered to the element, but there was a short). I believe his fix was to replace the heating element in the seat cushion. If yours turn out to be the relay or a fuse, please post and let us know

I think in his follow up he showed a broken element. The elements are ~$100 or If you have any miles on the seat buy fresh foam with the element for ~~$150. They are not hard to replace just tedious. Seat has to come out.

I think the OP found the relay, but if you have a bentley, the wiring diagrams are pretty straightforward to read, and if you trace the lines, you will find out exactly which relay, and the book has the relay panel locations. I find their wiring diagrams incredibly useful.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
