Those are around $800, and I picked up a set during their black Friday sale for closer to $500.

Gents, My son was forwarding me a few after market Headers to consider for my C4S - The pricing is below 500$ - which kind of alarms me - I cannot afford $1500 - 2K on headers (4 kids in College - The Horror) so I wanted to ask your thoughts, below is the info - Be Gentle, I am simply asking, not moving forward

I have SpeedTechs on my mk2 C2 and absolutely love them. It really enhances the sound when you're on the throttle and gives a deeper note to the sound at idle. Those are around $800, and I picked up a set during their black Friday sale for closer to $500.

Point being, quality headers can be had under $1,000.
Go for
1 piece equal length long primary tubes, preferably 1 5/8" diameter .
NOT SEEM WELDED primaries.
2 1/4" collector
look at how primary tubes are entering the collector , you don't want the primaries squeezed at all, they should flow into the reducer then collector .
They are a great buy.
My early Kline headers were actually made by Top Gear.
The only difference is the reduction section on the flanges.
If you look close at the collector, that is what you want !
That design actually dates back to old drag racing days with a company called "Hooker Headers"

TIG was My experience with OBX on an early 911 is that they are junk.. .flanges to muffler connections were off by 3/4". For the 996 , based on my trouble-free installation of Agency Power mufflers I found a set of Agency Power headers for $800..TIG welding is exceptional quality.....will be installing next month.
