Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I occasionally use my QJs on top of the ramps of my 4-post lift, which is painted diamond tread metal.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello,
I have a C4S and a newly finished garage floor (Elite Crete system) I'd like to protect from the quickjack I just purchased.
I found one forum posting where someone mentioned placing felt furniture pads underneath their quickjack to protect their epoxy floor.
I was wondering if anyone else has done it already as well. The obvious drawback I see so far is having to have extras on hand in case one falls off so that your not lifting unevenly...
... It's a garage floor! Epoxy (at least the stuff I painted my garage floor with) is pretty tough stuff - I drag jacks and my EZ Lift around on mine all the time and it doesn't show all that much damage. If it' gets bad enough, I'll hit it with another coat of epoxy...
I ended up putting felt pads underneath the lifts which has been working well.
Makes them a lot easier to slide around and they are keeping my floor from getting scratched up.
Have you tried or thought of maybe using leather chair leg protectors? Might be a more durable option for a epoxied garage floor. I put them under my table saw and band saw.
Chair leg floor protectors
I have a polyaspartic chip floor and its basically bullet proof. I used to put plywood under my jack stands but even thats not necessary. The quick jack doesnt even have any sharp edges so no worry at all.
I have the same floor, its amazing. I dont even use soap to clean it, just mop with water.
The only caveat is that it does take a few weeks to cure. I havent seen anything even make a dent
Ill add this, I have RaceDeck which is obviously softer than a good coated floor it doesnt leave any marks. I have a VW Touareg that weighs 5k that has sat on the Quick Jack for about 3 weeks.
If you have the base on a surface without enough friction, they can shift if they are not absolutely perpendicular to each other. It can get tricky because some people wrongly assume that the jack points in their car is perfectly aligned/centered and therefore they center the QJs based on that.
For example, the forward jack points on my 987.2 Spyder are narrower in total width than the rear points. If you center the QJs in this setup, they will try to splay out as you raise them and this would potentially be exacerbated by a surface that has diminished friction (i.e. a cloth or mat to protect it).
I occasionally use my QJs on top of the ramps of my 4-post lift, which is painted diamond tread metal. I am always super paranoid and careful when Im doing this for the above reasons.
Im not saying the OP shouldnt do what they are asking about, I just want them to be super careful when they do this.
